Orlando gets a great start from the erratic Tim Keefe, who hurls a complete game 3-hit shutout to make Walton Cruise's first inning blast stand up. Pete Browning also homers in a 3-run 6th to seal it.

New Orleans lets Dontrelle Willis stay in despite getting roughed up in the middle innings, as their lineup ultimately gets to Chris Capuano and batters George Sherill in relief for four runs in a third of an inning - aided by an unfathomable six walks.

Los Angeles' season to the extreme. They built a 15-0 nothing lead but let things get a little interesting before blasting two homers in the 5-run seventh. Cal McVey had five hits and scored four runs; Mike Donlin, Vern Stephens, Benjamin Boyd and Heinie Groh each had three hits, with Stephens and Boyd driving in 3 apiece, Donlin driving home 4 and Groh knocking in 5.

HR - ARI: P. Hill (13), J. Reyes (10)
The Sandmen get a complete game out of ace Ben Sanders, hoping for a late-season surge to get him to 18 wins for the third straight year. Pete Hill's 2-run shot in the first is the big blow, but San Antonio gets a pair in the 8th on RBI singles from Jimy Williams and Jason Bay. But Jose Reyes put a 2-run shot into the seats to ice it for Arizona and put San Antonio back a game further.
