its interesting talking to friends that are mets fans. they're torn on who to root for. on the one hand, the NY media treats them like the red headed stepchild to the yanks which fuels their hatred of us. on the other, the phillies are a natural rival for them.
so far it seems like most are rooting for the yanks over the phills for the simple fact that the phills are their rival whereas they just hate the yanks.
