RBI incorrectly credited
Here was the situation I just experienced:
Runner on second base, one out. The batter hits a ground ball to third base, which is bobbled for an error. The batter reaches first base and is not credited with a hit. On the play, the runner on second advances to third and somehow comes across to score. The batter is also credited with an RBI.
I really can't imagine how an RBI can be credited in this situation if no hit is awarded. I'm chalking it up as a mistake.
