Well, color me a Cliff Lee fan as of last night. Great stuff against a formidable lineup. In addition, he stood out as a fielder, with the help of a little luck, but it was something to watch in any event, e.g. the back-handed snatch, the ho-hum pop up catch. He was as relaxed as relaxed can get. Don't think I've ever seen anything like his demeanor on the mound, inarguably in his comfort zone, which he said in post-game was "being in the majors." I thought that interesting.
Also, no one's mentioned the umpire's ruling-by-committee meeting on the double play? You don't see that kind of scrutiny and cooperation everyday in order to get it right. I thought the game, overall, was a real gem marred only by the Rollins overthrow, but it happens.
