Bill Drake rebounded from a horrendous effort last time out, allowing 6 runs over 2 2/3, to hurl a complete game despite scattering nine hits. David Wright and Jesse Burkett each had two hits in the win. New York won despite Dick Higham leaving 6 men on base on the day.
