I don't have any certain answers, but I remember someone having a problem with some similar characteristics, in which it seemed that the links and bookmarks files (in the page links folders in your saved game) were corrupted. I believe that simply trashing those, and allowing the game to recreate them would be something to try (backup your game first, or course
)
