Frank Killen won for the first time in four starts as the Heroes' bats spotted him a 4-1 lead after the first - led by a two-run shot from Roger Connor - and never looked back. Jesse Burkett and Connor each had three RBI and Pat Mullin added two in the win.

Matt Cain improved to 4-0 with a 1.72 ERA in September, seeming like he's completely recovered both from last year's elbow surgery and August's oblique strain. Roy Oswalt lost for the second straight start. Pete Alexander, Louisville's first round pick in 2009, picked up his first career save and has a 1.74 ERA out of the bullpen since coming up to the big club in August for Charlotte. And as a result, the division is once again tied!
