In my mind, it's not the suspensions deciding the playoff race. If these guys were real players, they would have made the decision to do what they did, which considering the punishment was probably the wrong one. Those players put the playoffs at stake themselves.

I know the game randomly generates this type of thing, but its supposed to represent something that occurs in real life. People can accept injuries in the game but for some they have a hard time accepting the legitimacy of a suspension.

Also, I'd like the think that IRL a commissioner wouldn't let the popularity of a player or the time of year cloud his judgement on what the penalty should be. We know this not to be true, but in my mind punishment should be consistent.
