Saturday, February 5th 1949

FW: Ray Famechon 15-0-2 (5) TKO 5 Jean Sneyers 5-5 (1)
Famechon fought well. He sent Sneyers to the floor in the 4th, and then dominated the 5th. The stoppage was premature, but still a good display as the frenchmen remains #4 in the Featherweight division.

MW: Paddy Young 17-1 (8) KO 3 Bill Schultz 6-5-1 (1)
Young had it his way, easily won rounds 1 and 2 and a right hook ended the fight in the 3rd. Paddy moves to #5 in the middleweight division.

FW: Tommy Collins 17-0 (15) KO 5 Ted Creswell 7-8-1
The hard punching Collins scored knockdowns in rounds 2 and 3 and ended the fight in round 5. Tommy is still #3 among the featherweights.

LHW: Bob Foxworth 13-0 (11) KO 4 Michael Cash 10-12-3 (2)
After having a lot of trouble in the opening rounds, Foxworth turned it on, and scored three knockdowns in the 4th, the final one for the full ten count. Foxworth is still ranked #7.
