That's not the point. The reason Warner's case was a fumble but Ryan's case not is because in Warner's case the ball was knocked by the defender, therefore Warner losing control of it. In Ryan's case, he was throwing the ball, and the defender grabbed his arm, altering his throwing motion, but he's still throwing the ball.
That's also what NFL said.
