It can't be that much more difficult or time consuming to show a daily update of a team's batter and pitcher stats, than it is to calculate and display the update of league leaders and standings. The headlines are very difficult to read and of little interest anyway.

I think most people like the Sim screen. Certainly, I think you have an idea for what it could become that if done right wouldn't be a bad thing either, but even though we can't read the articles during simming, seeing the headlines scroll by (which is all they are really supposed to be in sim mode) and having the stats and standings really helps to keep in touch with the league.
