Simpson looked to use this fight to take a big step towards being a part of the 1950 world championship tournament, but instead, he was outboxed completely for a wide decision in favor of Rush Dalma who makes it to #7 in the ranks, while Simpson drops to #8.

The middleweight #1 is looking better and better for each fight and Weismuller had no business in the ring with Turpins speed and power.
