Cleveland Arena, Cleveland, OH, USA
LW: Ike Williams 15-2 (9) UD 8 Freddie Herman 7-5-2 (1)
Williams did well, scored a knockdown in the 2nd and the victory was never in doubt. Williams moves up to #8.
LHW: Joey Maxim 12-1-1 (2) UD 8 Bill Keith 11-11-3 (1)
Good perfomance as Maxim just outboxed Keith, scored a knockdown in the 5th and won a shutout. Maxim remains at #9.
WW: Johnny Bratton 16-0 (8) KO 4 Monte Anderson 10-9-3 (4)
Bratton is starting to look like a big factor in the welterweight division with another crushing perfomance, as he remains at #6.
LW: Art Aragon 18-0 (8) UD 8 Brian Burch 9-9-3 (1)
Aragon had his trouble, but in the end he scored a wide decision as he overtakes Maxie Docusen for the #2 spot.
MW: Carl Olson 21-1 (13) TKO (cuts) Vern Lester 8-4-3
Carl Olson cut Lester with a big right early in the 2nd, and the fight was stopped later in the same round as Olson is still #2 in the middleweight ranks.
Main Event
FW: Willie Pep 25-0 (16) KO 3 Chris Davis 10-4-1 (1)
Pep made the pretty tough Davis look like a bum. He outboxed, outfought, out-everythinged Davis and won the fight with a great combination. Pep is still #1 both in Featherweight and Pound-4-Pound.
