July 27th-29th

Game 1, Att: 49,094

After losing 2 on the spin, it's nice to get back to winning ways. Feliz was on super top form today as he produced the goods we know he can at this level and he duly claimed his 1st win in the "show". He was on course for a perfect game until he walked a batter in the 6th, but a 5 hit shutout for your first win is still a good effort. The only home run came in the 4th innings when Blalock launched one out of the ground for his 10th of the year.

Game 2, Att: 48,632

The roles were reversed from yesterday as Verlander was on top fprm, as we struggled to hit him, at one stage it looked like he was on for his 2nd shutout in 3 games. Blalock hit his 11th home run of the year in the 6th with one on for the Tigers, Polanco hit his 2nd of the year in the 5th and the next batter Cabrera hit his 17th of the year and there was one more home run in the 5th from the bat of Guillen with 1 on for his 8th of the year, Inge then hit his 10th of the year in the 7th.

Game 3, Att: 48,981

A sloppy 3rd cost us the game today and for the 2nd series in a row we lost it 2-1 after taking the 1st game. We got a few hits off of Porcello but we just couldn't get the guys round the bases and we weren't hitting pitched out of the park either you do that in baseball and it equals, DEFEAT. Guillen hit the only homer of the game in the 8th for his 9th of the season.
