The highly skilled, although weak punching and questionably chinned, light-heavyweight Bert Lytell makes it to #15 by widely outpointing Yulo, although not managing to score the 1st knockdown of his career.

MW: Paddy Young 18-1 (9) TKO 4 Man-su P'yong 8-7-2
Young managed to cut P'yong in the 1st round with a nice uppercut and then cruised through the next couple of rounds before the cut became too bad for the fight to go on. Young makes it to #5 in the middleweight divison.

LHW: Joey Maxim 13-1-1 (3) TKO 7 Tsurayaki Tanaka 7-8 (1)
Another fight ended due to a bad cut, once again after Maxim had dominated seven rounds. Maxim moves to #9.

HW: Bob Satterfield 18-3 (17) TKO 1 Edel Brem 11-10-1 (6)
Satterfield did what he does best, knocked his foe out quickly. The popular Satterfield moves to #10.

WW: Tommy Bell 24-0 (15) TKO 6 Jeong Kyo 5-5-5 (1)
Bell hammered Kyo in rare fashion, as the korean hardly got a punch in, while Bell landed an average of 40 punches per round. Bell scored knockdowns in rounds 4, 5 and 6 before the fight was stopped. Bell overtakes Frankie Fernandez for the #2 spot in the welterweight division.

LW: Wesley Mouzon 20-1-1 (7) vs Danny Webb 15-5-2 (6)

The lightweight #1 Wesley Mouzon who holds an impressive knockout win against Ike Williams (15-2, 9 KOs, ranked #8), had his only loss come in a somewhat controversial split decision against Joe Brown (20-1, 12 KOs, ranked #11). Mouzon is facing Danny Webb who made alot of noise by knocking out the undefeated Henry Davis (now 21-1, 3 KOs, ranked #9).

Mouzon is an incredibly fast, busy and accurate boxer who is making a big impact in the lightweight division. He showed a weakness though as he was knocked down in the fight against Wallace smith (6-1-1, 1 KO).

Round 1

Mouzon dominates and lands everytime Webb tries to get inside. Mouzon hurts Webb at the end of the round with a big right hook. 10-9 Wesley Mouzon

Round 2

A very active round for both fighters, with a clear advantage for Mouzon who lands his jab and his body punches at will. Webb gets in one nice punch in the middle of the round that made Mouzon back up for a little while. 20-18 Wesley Mouzon

Round 3

Mouzon hurt Webb early and then missed with a couple of punches, and this seemed to give Webb some energy as he got off a couple of double jabs and a nice uppercut. Mouzon probably just edged the round as he scored some good looking straight lefts and rights. 30-27 Wesley Mouzon

Round 4

Fantastic round for Mouzon who danced circles around Webb and landed whenever he moved in. He simply seems to quick for Webb. 40-36 Wesley Mouzon

Round 5

What seemed like another simple round for Mouzon suddenly took a dramatic turn that really showed what could be a weakness of Mouzon as Webb landed a hard cross that sent Wesley to the floor. Quickly up though, he didn't seem to recover fully and was caught a couple of times more during the round. 49-46 Wesley Mouzon

Round 6

Mouzon seems to focused on ending the fight as he lands big a couple of times, but in general Webb is the agressor and easily scores more, without ever landing anything of note. 58-56 Wesley Mouzon

Round 7

A really dull round, that saw Mouzon land a couple of jabs and crosses that probably was enough for him to win the round. 68-65 Wesley Mouzon.

Round 8

After 2 even minutes where both fighters let their hans go, Mouzons speed started to be the difference as a combination to the body followed by a strong uppercut knocked Webb down, who was then saved by the bell. 78-73 Wesley Mouzon

The official scores read: 77-73, 78-73 and 77-73 all for Wesley Mouzon who remains on top of the lightweight division and improves to 22-1-1 (7). Webb drops to 15-6-2 (6) but looks like a tough test for anyone in the lightweight division.
