Crazy game in which the injury-ridled Rockies only used relievers, including 5 2/3 innings by closer Corpas. Sadly we lost our high flying IF Sharlon Schoop (.318, 3 HR, 20 RBI) for eight weeks with a torn thigh muscle. 3B Tripper Johnson (.310, 7 HR, 33 RBI, 1 SB - AAA) will get the call for the big leagues.
Elsewhere:
The Cubs 2B Alfonso Soriano (.254, 15 HR, 44 RBI), who is still on that crazy $144,000,000 contract from 2007, hit his 400th career home run.
