Trade deadline trades hard to mimic real life MLB

I like the way very low trade frequency works so I'm ok there, but one thing that no trade setting seems to get right are the deadline deals.

I see a lot of little trades whether it be vets, minor leaguers, whatever. But you never see Baltimore trade Brian Roberts when out of contention, or Jake Peavy, stuff like that.

Not that I want a million stars moving around, but guys with expiring contracts should be dealt from time to time from a team out of contention to a team making a push for the playoffs.

Has anyone been able to simulate this in a solo league?
