I wasn't trying to make a diddly correction. But I have a bit of nostalgia for that series format and taking the six transister radio to school to catch up during class breaks. All the series games were played during the day then. And the World Series was more important than the super bowl x10.

I still remember the headline during the off season "the Reds are dead." Gene Freese had broken his ankle (sliding into second iirc).

Guess I'm just getting old. Wait up. Happens to the best of us. :-)
