But that's the problem with backups: you cannot have backups which are always in sync with the data. To do that, we would need server- and database-mirroring. And that would cost a lot of money, as mentioned.  |
Oh, I'm sure he wasn't really complaining. When you consider that we lost, what, several weeks worth of posts in the great crash of 2005, a day or so's worth of posts is nothing. This backup system works much much better.
