Couture makes quick work of Kitaguchi
Two months after struggling through his GAMMA debut, heavyweight prospect Randy Couture entered the cage again last night, taking on another wrestler in Daigo Kitaguchi (32 yrs, 6-8 record) from Nagoya, Japan. Kitaguchi never posed a threat to the American who quickly mounted him after the opening bell and fired away with strikes, forcing referee John Seavers to stop the match at 3:01 minutes into the first round. Kitaguchi is 0-2 now on American soil, his other loss came against former American HW superstar James Foster. Randy Couture improves his record to 2-0. According to GAMMA president Jay Booker, Couture is likely to fight at least one more time this year.
