WTF? Playing a historic league, starting in 1969. All's well till we get to 1972... season 4. Suddenly, Earl Williams, my main catcher, is chucking every throw in sight into the outfield. Fine then. Let's try Ellie Hendricks, a real catcher (though with similar average-type catcher ratings to Williams). Second game in the lineup... 4 throwing errors. So I go with new draftee Rick Dempsey. First game in the lineup... throws into center.

Through 82 games, my catchers now have about 35 errors among them. Every time there's a SB attempt, it appears, we have a throwing error. This is insane. And of course it's killing the team.

Anybody have any idea why all my catchers are turning into Steve Sax/Chuck Knoblauch/Mackey Sasser?
