Mets lose, Cincy cruise
by Harry Jackson
When you only get 3 hits you usually lose. When you allow 11 runs too, you always lose. Joey Votto, Edwin Encarnacion, Chris Dickerson, and Jerry Hairston Jr. homered and Aaron Harang went 6 scoreless as the Mets got crushed 11-0. The Reds top four went 11-19 with 2 2B, 2 HR,9 ribbies, and 10 R. Encarnacion knocked in 5, 3 on his 6th inning homer of Pedro Feliciano. There's a reason managers put their best hitters at the top of the lineup. For the Mets, John Maine only lasted 2 innings, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned. But New York had one upside. Francisco Rodriguez made his Mets debut with a 2 K perfect inning. When asked about his start Maine said "I just stunk. That's all."
