Konerko hits 300th dinger

He started with the Dodgers and Reds hitting .214 with 7 homers in 224 at-bats from 1997-1998. He broke out 1999 hitting .294 with 24 bombs with the White Sox, the team he's been with ever since. He played well from 2000-2002, batting .294 with an average of 27 taters and an even 100 RBI's a season. He slumped in 2003, only hitting .234 with 18 homers. He had MVP caliber numbers from 2004-2006, batting .291 with an average of 39 big flies and 117 ribbie's. He declined in 2007 with a .259 average and 31 HR's and more in 2008 with a .240 average and 22 home runs. But last night, Chicago White Sox first baseman joined an exclusive club when he hit home runs number 299 and 300. "It feels awesome. It's just unbelievable. After '98 I was having doubts but my parents comvinced me to go on and look what happened. Thanks Mom and Pop!"
