(#1) Welcome Ncita 33-25-2 (16) vs. (#16) Eugene Criqui 38-24-6 (17)

Welcome Ncita is a former FW Champion who lost his title in his 1st defense and has a 1-2 record in Championship bouts. This is the 1st appearance for Ncita in the EOY Tournament. He won the LW Title in his last bout of the regular season against Daniel Zaragoza thereby qualifying as the EOY Tournament #1 seed. He lost the title in his 1st defense against Eugene Criqui in the Divisional round of the Playoffs. Eugene Criqui is a former 2-time FW Champion who lost his title both times in his 1st
defense and has a 2-2 record in Championship bouts. Criqui makes his 2nd consecutive EOY Tournament appearance and has a 2-1 tournament record. Criqui and Ncita have met twice before, with Criqui knocking out Ncita both times.

Round 1: Slow round. Criqui lands a bit more
Round 2: Another slow round. Ncita has harder punches
Round 3: A little more action. Too close to call
Round 4: Big round for Criqui. Ncita is hurt
Round 5: Criqui is more active. Criqui suffers a nasty gash over left eye from accidental headbutt. Criqui has difficulty seeing
Round 6: Bad gash over Criqui's left eye reopened. Ref stops action. Ringside doctor will not let Criqui continue. Due to the accidental headbutt, the fight is going to the cards.

Kid Chocolate is a former FW Champion who made 5 successful defenses of the title and has a 6-1 record in Championship bouts. He makes his 3rd consecutive EOY Tournament appearance with a 5-1 tournament record which includes winning the Season 2 EOY Tournament by knocking out Vicente Saldivar in the 15th round of the final. Chalky Wright makes his 2nd consecutive EOY Tournament appearance and brings a 0-1 tournament record. Wright has fought for the FW Title only once, losing to Somsak Sithchatchawal. Sithchatchawal also eliminated Wright from last season's EOY Tournament. In their only previous match, Chalky Wright won a unanimous 12-round decision over Kid Chocolate.

Round 3: Chocolate busy enough to take round, but Wright does manage to hurt him late
Round 4: Good round for Wright. Chocolate's left eye swelling getting worse

Round 6: Chocolate does nothing this round. Chocolate's left eye is swelling more
Round 7: Wright takes round off. Chocolate does little. Crowd does not like it
Round 8: Too close to call. Chocolate clinching alot. Wright cut under right eye from accidental headbutt in a clinch
Round 9: Close round. Chocolate's left eye swelling gets worse
Round 10: Close round. Lots of clinching
Round 11: Good round for Chocolate
Round 12: Wright just pushing his punches. Wright in trouble
Round 13: Wright targets Chocolate's swollen left eye. Chocolate's corner has not done a good job to control the swelling. Wright warned for leaning on back of Chocolate's neck
Round 14: Close round. Chocolate's left eye is bothering him. Chocolate and Wright stare each other down at the bell
Round 15: Cautious last round. Wright seems to be a bit more effective

Barry McGuigan is a former FW Champion who has made 3 successful title defenses and has a 4-1 record in Championship bouts. McGuigan makes his 3rd consecutive EOY Tournament appearance and has a 0-2 tournament record. McGuigan won the title from Caballero which ended his second title reign. Caballero and McGuigan have met 7 times with McGuigan leading the series 4-3

Both were 12-round majority decisions against him against then champions Bernard Taylor and Ruben Olivares. Battling Battalino enters his 3rd consecutive EOY Tournament with a 2-2 tournament record. Battalino has never fought for the FW Title. This will be the 1st meeting between Hodkinson and Battalino.
