One hour or so of solid writing vanished in an instant. Now I make sure to save what I'm writing every couple of minutes. The recent crash had a smiliar affect on some of the dynasty threads on the board.

Fortunately, I save my notes. Years ago, I had a job writing press releases and speeches for public officials and politicians, so an occasional rewrite is not something I've not experienced. Still, your advice is pretty solid.
