Player Report for #9 Ben Roethlisberger
He started out without a fastball and also was a 10-9-8 I believe at first. Strasburg went 1, Ackley 2, and a CF named Brimble who looks like a true 5 tool stud went 3rd. At 5th I picked a guy who looks like Rickey Henderson 2.0 minus the power who has now been traded as part of a package for Kuo and Ervin Santana. Just figured I'd post this since our whole league is in shock.

I'd like to see his development report on a weekly (or even monthly) basis. I don't buy it.

It all depends on the player development ratings. The guy I drafted in the USBA went from 5/6/4 before the season to 10/9/7 by September (this was before I became the commish for those of you who would doubt

).
And it's all relative when it comes to ratings anyway. In one league a 8/8/8 guy could be an ace, while in another league he'd be just a mid-rotation guy.
Though I've never really had the best SP in a league, I have had quite a few very, very good ones in the USBA but had to trade them away because we were small market at the time. Of the guys I once had in my rotation, but had to trade, they have accumulated a total of 837 wins, 16 All-Star appearances, and 4 Pitcher of the Year awards. None of those PotY awards came while they were with me, and only 5 of the All-Star appearances
