George Dixon (33-3-0)(16) TKO9 Chiddy Ryan (16-2-0)(11)

Dixon made an exciting return to the Featherweight division with a ninth round TKO of Ryan and in doing so became the first man to stop the Australian.

Dixon came out all guns blazing in the first round as Ryan suffered a torrid first three minutes. For the next few rounds the underdog got back in the contest and landed some decent right hands to the chin of Dixon.

The Bantamweight World Champ up the ante in the eighth and ninth rounds and referee Kelly stepped in to stop the contest after Dixon had landed numerous unanswered blows.

Dixon has signed to defend his Bantamweight title in London against George Corfield sometime in May, he will then travel to Dublin to attempt lift the World Featherweight crown against Dick Hollywood.
