Boxing Day Round 1 Fight 2 – Miske/Wills

Billy caught a hard hook from Harry, then came back to take the opener, 12-6, a hard hook and right providing the margin of victory. Wills rebounded with a 13-2 2nd, his combination working effectively. He landed a hard cross to start the 3rd, and a sharp combination to end it. The last was enough to hold off Miske, 12-9, who’d rallied with a sweet hook.

Billy landed 30 times in an active 4th. Unfortunately (for him), Harry connected 42 times, a solid combination giving him a 21-11 round. Billy got on his bicycle and boxed a beautiful 5th, reaching Wills with his crosses, accumulating a 12-3 round.

Wills reasserted himself in the 6th, punching out a 12-2 advantage as Billy was tiring and missing with his punches. Both men rested in the 7th, Wills possibly claiming the round with a late shot to the head, 8-6. He seemed to be well ahead on points.

Miske threw caution to the winds in the 8th, slowing Harry down with two hard hooks. He staggered Harry with a cross, and tagged him with a good combination. Harry’s legs were wobbling, but he survived the 21-5 onslaught!

That was Billy’s last hurrah. Wills, fighting cautiously, landed enough counters to notch a 10-10 9th, then covered up and countered nicely in a 15-5 finale. Wills had landed more, 224-199, and he got a 97-93, 96-94 & 97-93 unanimous decision! So far Infinity has been spot on in his predictions!
