The Hall of Fame election committee is meeting this summer to see if it should adjust the criteria for induction. They will then take another look at "Sliding Billy" to see if he meets the new criteria.

It was a surprise to see the race that close considering in real life, Pittsburgh won by 7.5 over your Phillies and 8.5 over Brooklyn. The Giants finished 37 games behind in real life, so it was quite a jump for them.

I figure that I would allow MLB to play without a championship series between the two leagues so that the AL could "get their feet wet".

You were right in your testings that the trades were very low during this time but there were a ton of "purchases", which would be the "trading" of a player for financial considerations. I'm thinking of raising the trading frequency to "simulate" this.
