It was a surprise to see the race that close considering in real life, Pittsburgh won by 7.5 over your Phillies and 8.5 over Brooklyn. The Giants finished 37 games behind in real life, so it was quite a jump for them.

You were right in your testings that the trades were very low during this time but there were a ton of "purchases", which would be the "trading" of a player for financial considerations. I'm thinking of raising the trading frequency to "simulate" this.

Yes,there was a lot of purchases,and a lot of them from teams outside the scope of the big leagues.The way I saw it was,that even with the purchases,the movement was nothing like it is now,not even close and in my latter dynasties,I've only used low.Another thing is injuries.Very low is good here too,because players would play no matter how injured they actually were.If they could get on the field,they played.
