9/1/1908 - Sox open 12 1/2 game lead
We had our worst month of the season, but so did the Tigers, as we opened up a 12 1/2 game lead over the Tigers, with our magic number sitting at 23. I'd love to say my acquisitions pushed us over the edge, but Nap Lajoie has struggled so far, hitting just .247. The "throw in" of the deal, Harry Hinchman is hitting .300 so far for the Naps. But hopefully September is just a tune up for the World Series.
