When Grundy Hill - their ground in Horwich when they used to be known as Horwich RMI - was sold and knocked down they went to Leigh to share with the rugby and never built their own stadium.
That wasnt really ideal because all their income was down to tickets - Leigh Rugby took all monies from the bars, food etc.
Then the council came up with this £83m sports venue. Hardly going to turn down the opportunity to be joint tenants there.

This is some stuff I didnt know about Leigh. If those greedy rugby bastards hadnt hogged all the concession money, maybe they would still be in the conference. And know we know why they left Horwich.
