You're right, it should be 9 teams and 30 games*. I've updated the download to indicate this:

The important thing, though, is that the number of games in the schedule file matches the number of games you've configured for your league. If not, the schedule won't load. It doesn't actually matter that the number of games the teams actually play in the schedule doesn't exactly match the number of games in the league setting.
* Of course, teams won't play 30 games since this is the as-played schedule as reported by
retrosheet.
