Charley Jones never had one defining year, but for the early stages of baseball, he was one of the best CF, and LF later in his career.
As the committee was accepting Jones' nomination they revisited Lip Pike and Jimmy Wood, and inducted both, as they put up fantastic numbers, which have held solid over time, in the early, shorter seasons.
