Hi everybody,

This email is coming to you from Charleston, South Carolina. I was reassigned yesterday, or maybe I should say I was demoted. The South Atlantic League is a step down from the Florida State League.

Pat Roessler, our director of player development, said the Yankees want me to be able to work out my control issues in a less demanding environment; I think that's how he put it. FSL hitters are making me pay when I fall behind in the count and have to throw them hittable pitches.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset about it, though. I guess I'll have to go to Charleston, throw strikes, and work my way back up.

I'll sign off now. More of the guys are coming in now, and I want to get to know my new teammates.
