I'm now officially done with this. Hopefully there aren't any bugs. You can download it here or at PadresFan's site.

Regular cards:

A couple of notes:
1. The color is chose by uniform number
2. The text on the backs doesn't match the colors used on the cards. Each card front color had a different combo of colors for text on the back, which isn't yet supportable.
3. You can also generate rookie prospect cards, but I haven't found a way to remove the white border line for them without manually changing the xml file. Here's what they look like (with the year removed):
