Weekly Update 5/25/03
Highlights from this past week:
Tennessee won 3 of 4 games at home against SL Central leading Nebraska. The Mockingbirds then lost their first two games against division rival South Carolina. Meanwhile, Alabama went 4-2 this week to move 1/2 a game into first in the SL East.
After the rough series in Tennessee, the Shuckers took the first two games against Texas. Oklahoma has won 9 of their last 11, including 5 wins against division rival Louisiana.
Nevada maintains a 1-game lead in the SL West despite its current 4-game losing streak. The Goldminers host second place Oregon for a three-game series beginning on Tuesday.
New York has been the hottest team in the North lately. They have won 10 of the last 12. They start a three-game series with second place Delaware on Wednesday.
Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania are only separated by 1/2 a game in the NL Central.
Every team in the NL West has struggled lately. Division-leading Alaska dropped 2-of-3 to Dakota. The Huskies play both Washington and Dakota this week.
