I was just going to start a league based on a fictitious merging of independent leagues in 2000.
I will take the Northern League, which was combined with the Northeastern League at the time, as one league, and combine the Western League (which I believe is defunct ?) with the Atlantic League to form the United League. All players will be fictional.
