Baseball-reference.com has a list by year of all the players that died that year. The premise could be: each year, all the guys that died are brought back as 18-year-olds to play in an afterworld-type league. It'd be interesting because each year would have a mix of guys who died tragically and old-timers who passed away. For instance, Lou Gehrig would come into the league about 25 years before Ty Cobb, and Lyman Bostock and, say, Frankie Frisch would be contemporaries.
