Well there are many ways to do it. The way I use is not perfect, but it's really simple. It doesn't have an A league and a B league, but it has two leagues with an A and B division each. I normally start up with two leagues of, say, 8 teams each. One division per league. After the initial season, I take the 4 top teams of league 1 and put them in a division together, and do the same with league 2. The 4 worst teams of each leagues also form two divisions. Every year, the team that finishes with the worse record in division A will be demoted to division B, and the best team in division B will move to division A. I suggest using an unbalanced schedule.
This could be interesting in online leagues because it adds some kind of "prestige" to your team.
I'd like to be able to have a playoff format that would make the top team in division B face the 2nd team in division A, and the winner would meet the best team of division A in lcs.
