Game 1 of the HBL World Series

Well...Game 1 is now in the books...and all i can say is...WOW....The game took place at Eastmoor's ballpark.

The starting pitcher for Eastmoor was Jason Hodges. The starting pitcher for Shelby was Agustin Fuster. And these two battled...

Shelby's Christopher Prime nailed a 3-run Homer in the 2nd. Another run in the 2nd gave the Whippets a 4-0 lead. The Warriors answered with a run of their own. In the 6th, Eastmoor scored once again, bringing the score to 4-2. Then, in the 7th Peter Drucker blasted a home run, the score 4-3. Once again, in the 8th, another run brings the score to 4-4. Both teams score a run in the 10th. In the 11th, Shelby takes another run. going into the bottom of the 11th, Shelby has 6, Eastmoor has 5 runs. Pinch Hitter John Alers takes the plate for reliever Sean Melia, and he walks. Next up is Joseph Bailey, the key hitter for Eastmoor. Bailey slobberknockers the ball out of the park, giving the game to Eastmoor, final score: Eastmoor 7, Shelby 6. Shelby took 10 hits, and 1 error. Eastmoor cracked out 8 hits, and 1 error.

Game time: 4:10
Player of the Game: Joseph Bailey

I thought I had the "log" turned on, but it turned out I didn't

Oh well, I have it turned on now....This is how the actual game went though...I actually was cheering for Eastmoor...and it really shocked me when Bailey hit that 2-run game winning homer...wow....that was cool...

Just a question, are we still able to post the box scores on here? And if so, how do you do that?

Game 2 will either be later tonite, or more likely tomorrow morning....man, this was a great game for the 1st ever HBL World Series....

Next game will have Robert "Danny'Boy" Daniels (for the Warriors) vs. Kyle Hagerman (for the Whippets).

Shelby's Hagerman went 9-14, with a 5.41 ERA and a WHIP of 1.79.

Eastmoors Daniels went 12-11, with an ERA of 3.05, and a WHIP of 1.14 and had 2 Shutouts...and struck out 176 batters.

See ya at the game!!
