                    once again. Over in the American League no one knows what 
                    will happen, as four teams are fighting for one spot. Philadelphia 
                    leads the way at 
                    75-60 while Baltimore and Chicago both trail by 1 game. Detroit, 
                    not yet out of the picture, is 2 games back. Philadelphia 
                    and Chicago play the last day of the season.
                  
Over 
                    in the National League, its a two team race. The Pittsburgh 
                    Pirates and the Brooklyn Superbas have been fighting for that 
                    pennant since the All-Star break. Pittsburgh is currently 
                    one game up with a record of 84-51. Brooklyn is 83-52. These 
                    two teams meet on the last day of the season if it comes down 
                    to it.
