                    Chicago beat Cleveland (4-1) and Baltimore beat Boston (3-1) 
                    to create a three way tie in the American League.

                    in the National League, each team missed out on a golden opportunity 
                    as the Pirates lost 6-5 to Cincinnati in 10 innings, while 
                    the Superbas lost 5-4 in 10 innings to Chicago. Pittsburgh
