Some reliever has an 8 game winning streak right now that carried over from last season. I heard a guy on TV say so, so it's obviously true. If it's an official rule that hitting streaks don't carry over, then that both sucks and blows, if such a paradox is possible.
If a guy gets a pinch hit on April 1st, then his wife beats the tar out of him and he's laid up in the hospital for six months, and he comes back and gets a pinch hit on Sept. 31st, that's a hitting streak. But a streak that is postponed for the other six months of the year is not a streak? Lame-o...
