To add to what i just said, one particular fighter had a big TV contract lined up, So of course all in control wanted him to win the bout. On the way to the ring the opposing manager even said to the ref don't do my guy any favours they were all in on the deal
The result i am pleased to tell was the major money making fighter lost the fight.
A couple of weeks later the winning fighter split up with his manager he found out about the dealings going on, but of course at the time it never was in the papers the real truth about the split i mean.
It was a few years back now that happened.
There are a few things that a ref can do in the ring which often goes unnoticed by the public. Other things of course are very blatant
