Alright, I'll try to explain.
First, the conventional part. This is an 8-team fictional league with 2 divisions of 4 teams each.
Now, the different part. When you join the league, you don't control all of the team's aspects: you share the management with two other guys. There are 3 roles: owner, GM and manager. The owner is the big boss, what he deals with is mostly the financial things (and of course the hiring/firing of his teammates if tthey don't do the job correctly ). However, you don't do much, and it can become frustrating. Then, there's the GM. The GM does the trading, drafting, signings and firing of players. Finally, there's the manager, who's in charge of lineups and minor leagues (re-assigning players).
