Well it could have been a tapper in front of the plate or down the 3rd base line the pitcher had a tough play on.
If the game log says he reached on error, then it should not have been a hit.
Besides, what home team's scorer would rule a hit on a questionable play when the guys got a no-no going in the 8th inning??
I would have fired him also.
