I would say approx 85% already have the career start date in there ... what I do is while I'm watching my beloved Red Sox on mlb.com I go through my database and get career dates for fighters .... I am done with all the Heavy's through Middle's ... slowly but surely.

To start out I made a new group in my database called 1900. I took every fighter who had a start date pre 1900 or 1900 and added to this group. Each year I add the new fighters to that group and make them active. I left all the current active fighters in the men group and when I get to them I'll retire them and adjust them according to some of the methods posted on the web. I thought about hitting the button in options to retire and adjust all the fighters but I have not done that yet.

When you export your database to HTML report it shows their start date on the first page in a list so it's easy to scroll down the list and see who's start dates are missing. Hope my rambling here helped. It takes me about 2-3 weeks to complete each year in my universe. I'm getting quite a few fighters now so it'll slow down until fighters start retiring.
