30 team, 162 game schedule (like current MLB)
For configuration of 2 leagues, 3 divisions
League 1 (AL) has divisions of 5 (East), 5 (Central), 4 (West) teams
League 2 (NL) has divisions of 5 (East), 6 (Central), 5 (West) teams
Schedule has no interleague play and is unbalanced with divisional opponents played about twice as many games per team as non-divisional opponents.
See the comments at the top of the file for more details, including more about the number of games per opponent.
EDIT 2005/03/08: Two changes... The first is that the original file has been editted to remove an unintended split doubleheader where team #18 played both at team #24 and hosted team #22 on June 24 (fixed by moving 18 @ 22 to June 21). That old file should still work, though issues with doubleheaders in the game are still something of a mystery. Secondly, another version ("2") of the file was added with the layout of the games cleaned up a bit. The older version (especially the now-editted one) is fine, but the newer one may just be a bit nicer. Specifically in the older version there are cases where the guidelines of no more than 20 straight days without an offday and the average homestand/roadtrip is shorter than the newer version. Just remember that the schedule is generic so travel cannot be expected to be too realistic when used with an actual MLB-like league.
