After two months of play, the Western Division remains tight. Though Memphis holds a half-game lead over San Antonio (who won ten straight beginning May 19), fifth-place Houston is just three back. The Blues' rotation of Pitcher of the Month Daryl Warren (5-3, 2.66), leftie Vernon Elswick (6-0, 2.74), Douglas Agan (2-2, 3.44) and Frank Welsh (4-3, 3.48) go a long way towards Memphis having the second-best ERA (3.57) in the league.

The East, meanwhile, is a two-horse race thus far, with Norfolk winning nine of their last ten to maintain their 3 1/2 game lead over Jacksonville. The Ospreys have kept pace with the Clippers despite losing their $8 million 2B John Foster to a pulled ACL on May 3. Foster, batting just .242 on the year, is due to return to the Jacksonville lineup in a few days.

Daryl Warren (MEM) - Went 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA

Gary Nardi (JAX) - Went 5-1 with a 3.62 ERA, WHIP 1.10
